Game Cheats:
Permdeath Mode:
Type 'rawmeatmode' at the 'Title' screen to enable Permdeath mode which deletes your save when you die (Permdeath mode can be easily toggled back off by entering the code for a different mode).
Regrow Mode:
At the 'Title' screen type 'regrowmode' (without the quotes) to activate or dectivate this effect. When Regrow mode is enabled, 10% of the trees you have chopped down will grow back overnight (this effect can only be enabled in a Multiplayer game by the host). Stumps will turn back into trees as part of the effect, but you can prevent that from happening by eliminating stumps in locations where you don't want the trees to return.
Reset Holes:
If you start a saved game and type in 'woodpaste' you can reset the floor and roof holes in that saved game (the effect will reset when you return to the 'Title' screen and has no effect on multiplayer clients).
Indestructible Buildings:
Type 'ironforest' on the 'Title' screen to have buildings that nobody will be able to destroy.
Disable Active Cheats:
At the 'Main' menu type 'meatmode' (case sensitive with no caps, spaces or quote marks) to disable any cheats that you may have activated previously.
Unlimited Items:
Find an item that you want to duplicate. Hold a stick and turn it into a
weak spear. Now pick up the desired item and you'll have an unlimited
quantity at your disposal.
Nocturnal Cannibals:
At the 'Main' menu type 'vegetarianmode' (case sensitive with no caps, spaces or quote marks) to make cannibals only attack during nighttime.
The Calm Forest (v0.0.3):
On the title screen, type in veganmode and you can play without fearing
attacks from cannibals. When you save your progress and play again without that mode activated, you'll retain any items and your structures will
remain in place.
No cannibals:
Type veganmode at the title screen (v0.0.3) to play without cannibal attacks.
Note: When you save your progress and play again without the code activated, you will keep your items and your structures will remain intact.
Nocturnal Enemies:
Enemies will only appear at night if you type in vegetarianmode on the title
screen.
Hidden "vegan" mode:
At the main screen, type "veganmode" (without the quotes). This removes all enemies from the game, and changes the title screen.
Avoiding Enemies:
The mutants at the beginning of the game do not realize you are there. If you stay away from them or throw a rock in the opposite direction to distract them, then they will not attack you. If you build something, the mutants will take notice and investigate. Once an enemy sees you, either kill them or wait and deal with the rest.
Food supply:
If you are having trouble finding food, try and find a pond. There are usually
fish in them and a spear near it to fish. The fish are constantly replaced,
usually a day between spawns, and is a good supply of food for beginners.
Kill enemies faster:
The plane ax you get in the beginning of the game takes a while to kill mutants.
Combine booze and cloth to get molotovs and kill them in one hit.
Preventing enemies from getting inside your base:
When building your base, set it up where there are no trees above it. The mutants can climb trees and thus drop into your base. Also, use defensive walls to keep mutants out and barricades to prevent the walls from being destroyed. Usually, near the coast is a great place.
Molotov Cocktails:
Craft Molotov cocktails by placing 1 cloth and 1 booze on the crafting mat in the center of the inventory. Then when you encounter cannibals throw the Molotov's, any cannibals that catch fire from the explosion will be killed and those that are not will be scared away.
Duplicating Weapons:
Use the following trick to duplicate weapons. To perform it you access your inventory and equip the weapon you want to duplicate. Then while you are equipping the weapon, equip a different weapon. Doing this will cause your first weapon to drop out of your hand and onto the ground, as well as put the weapon back in your inventory, giving you 2 of the same weapons.
Indestructable Buildings:
At the 'Main' menu type 'ironforest' (case sensitive with no caps, spaces or quote marks) to make the structures you built indestructable. Note: this does not include fire-structures like stick fires or fire pits.
