Acer shows off four new monitors, including 57-inch beast

The CES season is upon us, and that means we'll be seeing plenty of new product reveals as companies take to the Consumer Electronics Show to debut their newest creations. Acer has taken the wraps off a number of incredible new monitors, including a massive 57-inch display called the Predator Z57.

The four monitors cover a number of sizes, from 34-inches to the Predator Z57's 57-inches, so they should appeal to a broad range of gamers. The smallest display, the Predator X34 V3, sports a 34-inch display with a UWQHD 3440 x 1440 resolution and a 1500R curve. It has two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a USB-C port with 90-watt Power Delivery. If you're looking for good refresh rates then this is a strong choice, with the HDMI ports supporting up to 100Hz, while the DisplayPort and USB-C ports go up to 180Hz.

From the smallest to the largest, as you might expect, the Predator Z57's 57-inch screen pushes these specs even higher. The display has a DUHD 7620 x 2160 resolution in a 32:9 aspect ratio and a curve of 100R. It's a VA panel with Mini LED backlighting, and has a 120Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium support. It has a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a USB-C 3.2 hub. All the ports can handle the 120Hz refresh rate, and there's also a pair of 10W speakers in the monitor too, though you'll probably still want your own speaker system.

The final two monitors sit between these two offerings, the Predator X34 X and the Predator X39. As you might expect, the X34 X has a 34-inch display, while the X39 has a 39-inch display. Outside of this though, they're very similar, with both sporting UWQHD resolutions a top refresh rate of 240Hz. Peak brightness is 450 nits, and both have two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a 90W PD USB-C port.

All four monitors will release in the second quarter of 2024. The Predator Z57, as the biggest, has the highest price tag of $2,499. The X39 starts at $1,499, the X34 X will cost $1,299, while the moe budget-friendly X34 V3 will start from $899.
