AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs could launch as soon as July

Rumors about the impending launch of AMD's Ryzen 7000, Zen 4 CPUs suggest the launch has been brought forward significantly. Where they were originally scheduled to launch by the end of the year, propped up by the release of Zen 3 3DVcache CPUs like the 5800X3D, that now appears not to be the case. New rumors suggest that the Ryzen 7000 chips will debut in Q3, potentially launching as soon as July.

AMD's upcoming Zen 4 generation of processors is expected to be the biggest change in AMD's CPU architecture since the launch of its original Zen architecture five years ago. It will bring AMD back into serious competition with Intel, and may massively eclipse its existing Alder Lake chips, and even leapfrog the upcoming Raptor Lake, if rumors are to be believed.

Zen 4 will be built on TSMC's 5nm process and will feature a newly upgraded architectural design, a smaller I/O die, and will utilize a new LFA socket design, marking a real change up from AMD's recent-generation FGA designs. Clock speeds will also exceed 5GHz on all cores when boosted, so the performance should be impressive. They'll also benefit from DDR5 and PCIE 5 support.

And now we may not have long to wait to find out more about it and when it will release. Serial leaker, Greymon, claims that the chips will release sometime in Q3, with a possible debut at Computex in July. That means we could see an end of July release, with Greymon claiming that the chips could arrive "earlier" than August.
