Black Myth: Wukong is a gorgeous, Chinese Dark Souls-like

Chinese indie developer, Game Science, has debuted a new look at its upcoming Dark Souls-like 3rd person action RPG, Black Myth: Wokong, highlighting not only the fluidity of the gameplay at this early stage (it's not expected to be released until 2023 at the earliest) but how fantastic it looks using the new Unreal Engine 5. Snow deformity is particularly gorgeous. To make sure that all of its good looking gameplay doesn't cripple whatever next-generation GPU you're playing on in 2023 (if you can buy one, that is) the game will also support Nvidia's deep learning super sampling, improving frame rates considerably.

In Black Myth: Wukong, players take on the role of Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, as he has to fight through a wide array of enemies, throughout different environments and settings, utilizing a range of abilities and skills to do so. Alongside his capable use of his staff and fists, Sun Wukong will also be able to transform into a variety of animals and creatures to help him battle the even wider array of monsters in his way.

Black Myth: Wukong has been in development for several years already, with a pre-alpha gameplay demo released in August 2020. The developer is keen to release it only when it's ready, and has said that the 2023 release date plan is loose if it needs more time to polish it. Considering how good the game already looks, though, it's hard to imagine they'd need too much longerer to finish it, but it's a good attitude for have for a fledgling developer.
