Valve announced the Dota 2 Reborn beta, which brings with it a new interface, new engine, and Custom Games.
As part of the overhaul, everything in the dashboard has been redesigned utilizing a new UI framework and the engine that powers the game has been fully replaced. Speculations have it that the new engine is Source 2, but Valve made sure not to confirm or deny that.
The new update will rollout gradually, with interface updates coming out first. The new interface is smoother and easier to navigate than the current jumble of slow loading menus. Valve will also introduce a tutorial section featuring a few guided bot matches to ease new players into the game instead of having them test their luck and determination against foul mouthed Russian teens.
