Double Dragon was released in 1987 ago and quickly became one of the most popular games ever. The game was so popular, it received several sequels, a comic series, a TV show and a movie. Nearly 30 years after the original Double Dragon was released, the game is once again receiving a proper sequel.
Double Dragon had several remakes in the past few years and a self-parody Double Dragon: Neon, but the upcoming Double Dragon IV is the first proper sequel since Double Dragon 3 was released in 1990. Even more exciting, the new game is being helmed by some of the people who worked on the original.
According to the game's YouTube page, the Double Dragon IV will remain faithful to the original 1987's look and will pick the story up following the events of Double Dragon 2. Double Dragon IV will arrive on the PlayStation 4 on January 30, 2017, and the PC version will land on Steam one day later.
