With TMPGEnc DVD Author you can change (author) your MPEG-1 / MPEG-2 files to DVD-Video structured files. Using high quality MPEG files made by TMPGEnc encoder (DVD Source Creator, Plus 2.5, 3.0 XPress) or captured by an MPEG capture device, it is possible to perform your own DVD authoring quick and easy. The output file structure (.ifo, VOB) can be burned to a DVD disc using the DVD writing tool, and thus you can create your own original DVDs.
Burning on "DVD+R Double Layer"
With TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6 , if you have the appropriate DVD writer and media, you can burn your authored DVD on DVD+R Double Layer. Actually, this is the only difference with version 1.5. But this allows storage of DVD-video up to 8.5GB !!!"
