Description Gears Of War prequel has been announced today, but it defiantly is not what you've imagined/hoped for.
The prequel, titled "Gears of War Pendulum Wars The Battle of Aspho Fields" will be released on August, 26, 2008 as a 352 pages book.
The book will be penned by Steven L. Kent, an American game reviewer who had his reviews featured in Electronic Games, CD Rom Today, ComputerLife, NautilusCD, American Heritage, Parade, USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, MSNBC, Next Generation, the Japan Times, and the Los Angeles Times Syndicate.
The brief official description of the book states that it "builds upon the characters backstories and gives eager fans their first in-depth look at some of the past events that shaped the games world"
