Description
Why the hell would MegaGames print a story about a rapper and a web advertisement firm? Well, the legally disputed ad required viewers to "Shoot the Rapper" and this, apparently, qualifies as a web game. But more importantly, we suffer from post-E3 lack of interesting news (Wrong, we always have up to the minute interesting news and true stories, so stay tuned -Ed.)

Anyway, Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent is suing advertising firm Traffix for using "his likeness in a web game called Shoot the Rapper". 50 Cent is seeking USD 1 million in actual damages, a permanent injunction against the use of his image without permission, and unspecified punitive damages.

Most probably, you have already seen a similar ad where "players" are required to shoot/click a constantly moving target (monkey or rapper)to "win" a special deal.

50 Cent's name does not feature in the "game" but lawyer Peter Raymond argued: "It looks like him, and there's no doubt the character is intended to be him". A copy of the ad (without actual links of course) is available in the Screens tab, so you can judge for yourself.
