Description ICQ is the most popular instant message program and rightfully so. Many consider it one of the last forts against the Microsoft onslaught (MSN Messenger).
In the more recent version the developers have incorporated a banner at the bottom of the chat window and a pop up when you first launch the program. These banners probably help support the ICQ network so we advise anyone who can afford the bandwidth and the, tacky banner aesthetics, to stop reading.
If you find however, that the banner and pop up slow you down here is a simple fix.
Find the following .dll files in your ICQ directory and rename them to .bak:
