Description John Carmack finally revealed the mysterious title that id used to showcase their latest id Tech 5 engine during Apple Worldwide Developers Conference.
The latest title in id's rooster is Rage which cultivates on the development's team love for the "post-apocalyptic, road warrior, Fallout genre".
"All of this seemed like [something] we could do interesting things with. Maybe it was time for id to do something that wasn't too dark. We've got lots of bright sunny outdoors", Carmack told the audience. "We're going far out on the edge for Rage. It's not the id formula for success, with run and gun."
Rage is being developed for PC, Mac, PS3, and Xbox 360. No release date is set yet, but the game will ship on 2 DVDs or a single Bluray Disc.
