iD has rushed off a request to all fans to not download the version of the Quake IV demo that is currently doing the rounds.
According to iD the version that some websites are currently offering is not a tested version even though it did originate from the company's own ftp servers. An iD spokesperson has said: This version is not tested and not final... Folks should wait for the final version that we're expecting early next week.
The version currently available features one single-player mission and two multiplayer maps although the online play does not work.
Be sure to stick with MG for the official and fully functional demo early next week.
