A lost art ? It's been a long time since a good adventure/puzzle game came out. Sure Prince of Persia tried it, and failed, and Tomb Raider kinda tried, and failed, but very few games have been able to match the fun of the deviously complex puzzle games of the eighties and early nineties.
Perhaps this art was lost. In the age of Voodoo5's and 1GHz processors, there are no more games like Monkey Island, Roger Wilco, or King's Quest on the shelves any more. Perhaps this is because people have changed and everyone now wants a quick blast of fun. No one wants to sit at their computer all day and really get into a game… or do we? Well for those of us who can remember how much fun King's Quest was on the 8086's, we wil be able to appreciate the newest game from Pixeleers and Topware: It Came for Zog.
It Came for Zog is your basic adventure puzzle game, where you play Zog. Turns out that Zog, a Neanderthal warrior (or head basher), is kidnapped by aliens… and that's basically all that the developers are saying. Not quite the plot setup you were expecting huh? Well, we hope that we all learn this when we play the game.
