Description Internet Explorer version 5.5 has a problem with the context menus that can take up to 5 seconds or more to appear.
Why it takes so long when you want to display the context menu? The answer is relativly simple :
Every time you press the right mouse button, Internet Explorer searches in the code pages of the system in the registry. But some of the entries haven't got a value. When this happens the systems tries to find a substitute. And this can take a lot of time (there can be more than 185 entries, which have to be substituted). You can simply speed up this process by removing these unused entries! just don't ask why Internet Explorer has to search the whole code page list when asked to display the context menu!)
MIE55SpeedUp handles this job simply and comfortably.
