Inside wins four game awards at BAFTAs

Of the 50 games nominated for various awards at this year's British Academy Games Awards, Inside walked away with a total of four wins in a range of categories. Other big names won out too, but none secured more than two victories, making Inside this year's top pick at the BAFTAs.

Inside won awards for Narrative, Original Property, Game Design and Artistic Achievement, which considering it was going up against games like Firewatch, Overcooked, Overwatch and Pokémon Go, was rather impressive.

Firewatch did take home the award for Debut Game itself and one of its actors, Cissy Jones, was given an award for the best game-performer. Rocket League made one appearance, taking home the award for Evolving Game, while Overcooked showed up to take home best British Game and best Family Game.

Elsewhere, Pokémon Go won out for best mobile title, while Overwatch was crowned as the best multiplayer game of the last year. Uncharted 4 was voted Best Game, while That Dragon, Cancer was awarded the Game Innovation trophy.

The only award category voted on by the public, AMD's Esports Audience Award had a number of more classical games to pick from, but ultimately settled on Clash Royale, the extremely popular mobile game.
