When people say that a scary game made them shit their pants, they usually mean that as an exaggerative figure of speech. But then Outlast 2 developer, Red Barrels, is so confident in their game, they actually want to help players who do so literally.

Red Barrels has taken to Kickstarter in order to collect funds for its "Underscares" stylish washable adult diapers.

"Underscares are 100% real and inspired by the Outlast community," the Kickstarter description reads. "In partnership with local designers, we developed a diaper prototype that combines practicality, comfort and style so gamers can experience abject terror without worrying about dirtying their egos (or their couches)."

Interestingly enough, the Kickstarter campaign has amassed more than $8,000 CAD from 100+ backers at the time of writing. This puts the average backer's contribution at around $80 which is well more than the game's price. The campaign still has 19 days to go in order to reach its funding goal of $40,000 CAD.

Backers who spend $55 CAD or more will receive Outlast 2 Steam Keys in addition to their Underscares but the two projects are not otherwise related. The production of Outlast 2 is fully funded by the sales of Outlast and Outlast: Whistleblower whereas the production of Underscares is fully dependant on the success or failure of the Kickstarter campaign.
