Rocket League Dropshot mode is now live

The next new game mode for Rocket League, Dropshot, is now live, giving players the chance to careen the ball off of the floor to create their goal. Designed to offer an alternative to classic gameplay, Dropshot joins the Basketball and Ice Hockey-alike game modes previously released for the rocket powered football title.

Dropshot changes the game up in a different manner though. On its specially designed maps, there are no immediate goals. To get them to open up, players will have to juggle the ball between themselves and then spike it into the floor on the opposing team's side of the pitch.

You'll need to be both good at dribbling and an air juggling master to really succeed in this game mode, where you not only need to maintain control fo the ball, but do so after bouncing it off of the floor. That could make this game mode a great way to practice bounce shots for more regular play.

Do you have the skills to compete with some of the best players in the new game mode, or will you be sticking to standard play?
