Description
It took less than half a page of paper for Federal District Court Judge Paul Huck to dismiss Jack Thompson's latest anti-gaming lawsuit, this time filed against Gawker Media, the company behind the Kotaku gaming blog.

In his ruling, Judge Huck states that Mr. Thompson failed to follow proper legal procedure in his amendment. Mr. Thompson seems to acknowledge his mistake and pleads ignorance claiming that he was distracted by the Florida bar and by a gaming website he claims released his personal information, although he does not go as far as to name the said website.

A lawyer pleading ignorance of proper legal procedures clearly does not inspire confidence but Jack Thompson is in a tight spot following the recent Rockstar settlement and the criticism he has received over his claims that the V-Tech shootings were gaming related. As a result of this pressure, Mr. Thompson feels compelled to respond and he claims he will return and re-file the Kotaku complaint. It seems like Mr. Thompson is bound to keep us busy for some time to come.
