It seems that Sony is planning to add a protection to EVERY game that will be released. This will not be a generic protection so every game will have it's own "unique" protection, which will make it a bit harder the crack.
At the moment the UK/PAL versions of Speed Freaks & Wipeout 3 (Promo) are both Anti-Mod Protected. Speed Freaks seem to work fine in Tournament mode but it isn't possible to play the single mode races - Thanks Mr Benn |

Bleem! has cleared another hurdle in the rugged road to a lawsuit-free future. A San Francisco judge ruled against Sony Monday in a case that will allow the company to continue to develop, improve, sell and ship its PC-based PlayStation emulator until its next court date, which has not been determined. It was at this step that Connectix lost their ability to continue production of their Macintosh PlayStation emulator. This case has been pending since early 1999, when Sony failed in its attempts to secure temporary restraining orders to stop the product. |

| Sony will try again to stop Connectix, creator of the Virtual Game Station (VGS) MAC-based PlayStation emulator, from shipping VGS or releasing updates for VGS. Last time when the two met in court, Sony lost the case but when they win this round then Bleem! will most likely be the next target ... More at The Register. |
