| Just another RPG?...
Like Diablo 2 and other modern PC RPGs Divinity will be seen from a fixed cabinet perspective. The camera is rather close to the world so that players can enjoy the graphical detail. According to the developers, the graphics engine is capable of real time colored lighting with multiple light sources, real time shadows, real time weather and environmental effects, and a host of other special effects. Many of the controls that you find in Divinity will be pretty much standard, run-of-the mill stuff. Fighting and talking controls will most likely to be similar to most other RPGs.
One area in which Divinity will surely succeed in, is in sound. A huge amount of time and effort has been spent on the sound and music of Divinity. Besides the usual 3d audio effects, the music system of Divinity will add some special atmosphere to the game. The music/sound ambience system supports two modes of operation. In the first several ambient and music tracks seamlessly blend into each other as the mood of the game changes. In the second mode of operation the music supports crucial story moments of the game, or works at building up tension.
