In Divinity , besides having the usual statistics like experience points, level, dexterity, intelligence and strength, players get to choose what skill they would like to research. Every skill has a certain cost in experience points, and several skills can only be accessed if you have previously researched another skill. Some skills also need a minimum level in one of the vital statistics. Kinda similar to the Age of Empires technology trees. The skills include: Armor skills, Weapon skills, Magic skills and General skills. The range of skills goes from typical things like identify monster to very detailed skills like run with two handed weapon.
Divinity will be available sometime later this year, or in 2001. In the meantime, check out some more screenshots.
