The Lara phenomenon is a concept which has been mentioned and analysed so many times by better qualified people than yours truly. It is not the purpose of this article to carry out any in - depth, psychoanalytic review of Lara's popularity. We do not blame the decadent western way of life or the lack of inter personal relations for her startling rise.
Nor do we think that Lara's designers and creators are part of some Satanic cult bent on world domination. What we do want to convey through this tribute is our appreciation and thanks to all those who have managed to make Lara the woman she is today. I don't care about what her success means or what results it has on a teenagers social life, I just love Ms Croft. This love is of the purest and most devoted kind, it gives and gives, from download time to the purchasing of games, and all it asks in return is for a slight glimpse of her.
